Why Heng Yuan

What Sets These Programmes Apart

There is no shortage of financial information available. What is harder to find is a calm, unhurried setting where an adult with real household responsibilities can think carefully about their own situation — without being sold anything.

Key Advantages

Six Reasons Participants Come to Heng Yuan

No Products, No Commissions

Heng Yuan holds no distribution licences and earns no commissions. The only financial transaction is your programme fee.

Small, Manageable Groups

Groups of twelve or fifteen mean that every participant can ask questions and receive a considered answer — not a rehearsed reply for the back of the room.

Singapore-Specific Curriculum

Every programme is built around Singapore's actual financial framework — CPF, HDB, SRS, and the relevant local regulations — reviewed and updated annually.

Pace Suited to Working Adults

Sessions on weekday evenings, programmes spread over weeks, written materials to take home. Designed around people who still have full lives during the day.

Designed for the 40+ Household

The programmes address the real financial questions of people in their forties and fifties — not the basics, and not the concerns of a twenty-five-year-old saving for the first time.

Written Materials and Summaries

Printed handbooks and, for bespoke clients, written session summaries. Something to revisit a month later when a question arises.

01 — Expertise

Facilitators with Relevant Backgrounds

The people who design and deliver Heng Yuan programmes have backgrounds in financial planning, estate planning, and adult education — not in sales. They understand the Singapore regulatory environment and they speak about it in plain language.

When a question touches the boundary of what an educational setting can address, our facilitators are clear about that boundary. They do not speculate, and they do not offer opinions dressed as advice.

What this means for you:

Questions answered from practical knowledge, not from a script

Singapore-specific examples throughout every session

Curriculum reviewed against current CPF and MAS rules each year

Clear acknowledgement of where education ends and personalised advice begins

What this means for you:

Content updated each year, not recycled from several years ago

Sessions structured so that one concept builds on the last

Printed handbook lets you revisit the material at your own pace

Written summaries (Shutters Track) after each private session

02 — Programme Design

Structure That Actually Helps People Learn

Each programme is designed with a clear sequence. Later sessions assume what was covered in earlier ones, so that understanding accumulates rather than being repeated. There is no filler, and no session is held simply to reach a certain number of hours.

All group sessions end with a brief summary and a short list of points participants may wish to check about their own household before the next session.

03 — Service Quality

A Straightforward Participant Experience

From the first enquiry to the final session, participants deal with the same small team. Enquiries are answered within two working days. Booking is confirmed in writing, with all details clearly set out. Rooms are prepared before participants arrive.

We do not use automated responses for substantive enquiries. If you write to ask which programme suits your situation, a person at Heng Yuan reads your message and writes back.

What this means for you:

Response to enquiries within two working days

Written booking confirmation with clear terms

Post-programme feedback reviewed and acted upon

Small team, consistent contact throughout

Programme fees:

The Shophouse Series (4 sessions)SGD 260
The Considered Household Course (9 weeks)SGD 450
The Shutters Track (6 private sessions)SGD 730

All fees include printed materials and refreshments during sessions. No hidden charges.

04 — Value

Transparent, Inclusive Fees

Heng Yuan's fees are stated plainly and include everything a participant needs for the programme: the sessions, the printed handbook, and light refreshments during group sessions. There are no additional charges for materials or follow-up questions within the programme period.

We do not adjust our fees based on what we think a particular participant can pay. The price listed is the price everyone pays.

05 — Outcomes

What Participants Leave With

Participants leave with a clearer picture of their household's financial position and a better understanding of the tools available to them in Singapore. They do not leave with a product, a portfolio, or an obligation.

Many participants describe the most useful outcome as being able to ask better questions — of their bank, of a financial adviser they may choose to engage, or of their CPF account when they next log in to check it.

Participants typically report:

A clearer understanding of their CPF accounts and when to act on them

Confidence in asking their bank or adviser the right questions

A household document or summary they had not had before

A clearer view of how their household's assets and commitments fit together

Comparison

Heng Yuan vs. Typical Alternatives

Unique to Heng Yuan

What You Will Not Find Elsewhere

The Shutters Track Bespoke Format

A six-session private programme shaped entirely around your household — not a template with your name on it. No other financial education provider in Singapore offers this format at this level of specificity.

Written Session Summaries

After each Shutters Track session, a short written summary is prepared and sent to the participant household. This creates a record of what was discussed — something a family member can also read.

A Firm Position on Independence

Heng Yuan's independence from the financial products industry is structural, not incidental. It is written into the company's operating framework. It does not bend under commercial pressure because that pressure has no entry point.

A Room That Takes Household Finance Seriously

There is something to be said for sitting at a table in a quiet room with eleven others who are at a similar stage in life, thinking through the same questions. It is a setting that encourages careful thinking rather than quick decisions.
