Our Programmes
Three Programmes, One Purpose
Each programme addresses the same need — a clear, unhurried understanding of household finance — but at a different level of depth and with a different setting. The right choice depends on where you are and what you want to understand.

How Heng Yuan Programmes Work
Small and Quiet
Groups are kept to twelve or fifteen. The room is set up as a seminar, not a lecture. Questions are expected and welcome at any point.
Singapore-Centred
Every session uses Singapore examples, Singapore regulations, and Singapore institutions. The CPF framework is at the centre, not a footnote.
Written Materials
A printed handbook accompanies every group programme. Bespoke sessions are followed by a short written summary for the household file.
The Shophouse Series
A four-session group held on Wednesday evenings, designed for adults in their forties and fifties who would like to spend four calm evenings in a small seminar room above a shophouse, thinking carefully about household finance. Each session covers one subject. Sessions last two hours, with light refreshments and a printed handbook to take home.
Session 1: The Household Balance Sheet — what you own, what you owe, and how the numbers relate
Session 2: Cash Flow and CPF — how money moves through a Singapore household, and what CPF's three accounts are actually for
Session 3: Protection and Insurance — what you need, what you likely already have, and what you may not
Session 4: The Longer Arc — investing, Singapore Savings Bonds, and thinking about retirement as a phase, not a date

A nine-week course for those who would like to understand the Singapore household financial picture in a careful, considered way. Cohorts are small at fifteen. Topics build on one another across the nine weeks, and there is time within each session for questions and discussion.

The Supplementary Retirement Scheme and its tax treatment
Categories of investments available to Singapore residents
Low-cost index funds and exchange-traded funds — how they work and what to consider

The Shutters Track
A six-session bespoke programme for households who would like a careful, private series of conversations about their financial picture, conducted across roughly two-and-a-half months. The programme is shaped by the household. Each session is held in a quiet private seminar room and is followed by a short written summary.
Typical conversations include: retirement now within view, integration of a portfolio accumulated over many years, supporting an ageing parent in a thoughtful way, and the writing of a household summary document.

Standards
How We Run Our Programmes
Annual Curriculum Review
Every January, all programme materials are reviewed against current CPF rules, MAS guidelines, and relevant legislation. Outdated content is revised before the new cohort begins.
No Representative Licence
Heng Yuan does not hold financial advisory or product distribution licences. This structural position is the foundation of our independence and it does not change.
Participant Data Protection
Contact details are used only for programme administration and retained for no longer than three years. We do not pass information to third parties for commercial use.
Post-Programme Feedback
Every participant is asked to complete a brief feedback form. Responses are reviewed and any recurring concern is addressed in the following cohort's preparation.
Clear Booking Terms
Every participant receives a written confirmation setting out what is included, the fee, and the cancellation terms. Nothing is left to be agreed verbally after booking.
Consistent Venue
All sessions are held in our own seminar rooms at Hong Kong Street. Rooms are prepared before participants arrive. There are no off-site venues and no third-party facilities.
Fees
Clear, All-Inclusive Fees
All fees are stated in Singapore dollars and include printed materials and refreshments during group sessions. There are no additional charges for materials or for questions raised during the programme period.
